Bobbie Jean Gottfried

Our beloved Bobbie Jean Gottfried passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, in Evanston.  She was 74 years old. Born December 25, 1948, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Bobbie was the daughter of George and Geneva Hays.

Bobbie graduated from Capital Hill High School in 1967.  She continued her education and graduated from the American Beauty College of Cosmetology on March 26, 1968.

Bobbie married Cleo Gottfried on November 21, 1981, in Oklahoma. They moved to Evanston, Wyoming in 1984.

Bobbie loved her family and being with them was her top priority!  Survivors include her husband Cleo Gottreid; children Christi and (Shane) Barton, Tara Warren, Shelly Beckham, Christina and (Patrick) Crosby; grandchildren Christopher and (Sandra) Barton, Kassan and (Caij) Albrecht, Shaelynn Warren, Michelle and Jessica Beckham and Kavan Crosby; great-grandchildren Blaire Albrecht, Ava Kitchin, Liam Barton, Maeve Albrecht and Knox Barton.

Bobbie enjoyed gardening and being outside and taking care of the many flower gardens she had.

She loved to sew and make beautiful quilts and bassinets for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bobbie joined her church, The House of Prayers, in March of 2018.  She attended meetings weekly.  She also was baptized and received the Holy Ghost in May of 2018.

She loved music-country western was one of her favorites, along with the oldies.  She was a collector of collections and loved antiques.

Bobbie had a sweet spirit that touched all of us.  She made friends everywhere she went and will be missed. 

Bobbie is preceded in death by her father and mother George and Geneva Hays; son Lance Warren; sister Gladys Walling; brother Jim Hays; and  nephew Glenn Walling.

Bobbie will always be a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Jan. 14 at noon at the House of Prayers on 163 Bear River Dr. in Evanston.
