Beverly Marie (Aanerud) Fackrell peacefully passed away surrounded by her three children on Monday, Dec. 10.

Bev was born on Aug. 14, 1922, at Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah, to Anna Matilda Bolander and Fredrik Aanerud.

When she was 6 years old, they moved to Evanston, where she attended school and graduated in 1941. Bev graduated from Budge Memorial Hospital in Logan, Utah, and received her RN license in August 1944.

Bev married Harold (Hap) Fackrell in 1946, and their union was blessed with four children: James Fredrick, Harold Kay, Debra Ann and Kristi Lee. She worked as a nurse in Laramie while Hap attended the University of Wyoming and later worked at the Remi Memorial Hospital and the Wyoming State Hospital in Evanston.

Bev enjoyed knitting, ceramics, oil painting, camping and playing cards. She was active in Overthrust Lions, Eagles, Elks, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and (her favorite) the Red Hats. She was also a member of the homemakers Shasta Club until it finally dissolved.

Bev’s greatest joy was attending sporting events and dance recitals (or just being with them) for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bev is survived by three children, Kay (Colleen) Fackrell, Deb (Kevin) Taylor and Kris (Don) Borchard; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; her husband, Hap; her son, Jim; and a grandson, Ryan.

Graveside services and a celebration of Bev’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on May 25, 2019, at Evanston City Cemetery, with a barbecue in Bev’s backyard following the service. Memories, stories and loving tributes are welcome.
