Alberta Jane Johnson passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loved ones, on Tuesday, Nov. 17, just three days shy of her 95th birthday.

Alberta was born Nov. 20, 1925, in Lucas County Jerusalem Township, Ohio, to Albert and Anna Anderson.

Alberta married Larry Johnson on Sept. 30, 1949, and moved from Ohio to the ranch in Wyoming. Together they raised three children: Jane, Ellen and David.

Alberta was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mountain View. She was a 4-H leader and a member of the Willow Creek Homemakers Club for many years.

Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Anna Anderson; and her brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Elizabeth Anderson.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Johnson; her children, Jane (Douglas) Malone, Ellen (Wade) Bowthorpe and David Johnson; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

There will be a viewing at First Presbyterian Church, located at 329 3rd St. in Mountain View, on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 10 a.m., with a service to follow at 11 a.m. Graveside services will be held at the Fort Bridger Cemetery. A recording of the funeral will be posted on the Crandall Funeral Home website beginning Tuesday afternoon. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a church of your choice.
