BOARD OF UINTA COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Uinta County Commissioners will meet on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 8:30 a.m. and as part of the regularly scheduled Work Session on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 9:00 am to conduct budget meetings with various Uinta County departments. No other business will be conducted during the Special Meeting on May 2nd.  The meeting will be in the Commission Conference room at the County Complex in Evanston.

The Uinta County Commissioners met in regular session on April 19, 2022 in the commission chambers, 225 9th Street, Evanston. Chairman Eric South convened meeting at 2:00 p.m. Commissioner Brent Hatch, present, Commissioner Mark Anderson, excused. Also present: Amanda Hutchinson, County Clerk; Loretta Howieson, County Attorney; and Terry Brimhall, County Treasurer.

Agenda

Motion Hatch, second South to approve the agenda amended to remove SWOT and to add Terry Brimhall, Treasurer with a promissory note request.  2 yes votes, passed.

Wildland Fire Operating Plan

Motion Hatch, second South approving the Wyoming Cooperative Wildland Fire Management Agreement and Stafford Act Response Agreement as requested by Eric Quinney, Uinta County Fire Warden.  2 yes votes, passed.

Motion Hatch, second South approving the annual Wildland Fire Management Operating Plan with the Bureau of Land Management specifying the cooperation between the various agencies as presented by Quinney.  2 yes votes, passed.

ARPA Funds Request

Motion Hatch, second South to approve $150,000.00 for Uinta County Libraries to upgrade technology for both staff and public usage at all 3 libraries as requested by Claire Francis, Library Director.  2 yes votes, passed.

Public Health Emergency Planning Grant

Motion Hatch, second South to approve a grant of $24,000 from the Wyoming Department of Health for Workforce Development as requested by Mike Whisenant, Public Health Emergency Management.  2 yes votes, passed.

Promissory Note

Motion Hatch, second South to approve a Promissory note with the State to apply for a zero interest loan in the amount of $187,488.00 for unpaid taxes due to a change in legislation allowing certain mineral/gas production taxes to be paid over a 13-year period.  2 yes votes, passed.

The Petitioners in the captioned matter, Diane Gottlieb and Terry Lynn Buchanan, state that the sole heirs, at the time of the Decedent’s death, were her children, Diane Gottlieb and Terry Lynn Buchanan. The Decedent died testate, and the distributees under the Decedent’s Last Will and Testament are Diane Gottlieb and Terry Lynn Buchanan. There are no other heirs or distributees of the Decedent having a right to succeed to Decedent’s Real Property under probate proceedings.  As a result, thereof, the Petitioners state that they are entitled to a decree of this Court distributing all of Decedent’s Real Property to Diane Gottlieb and Terry Lynn Buchanan.
