The Uinta County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people at the Lyman rest area last week after investigators say they were found in a stolen vehicle while possessing drugs.
According to a press release issued by the Sheriff’s Office, a deputy saw a Jeep Cherokee with Colorado plates parked oddly at the rest stop around 11:30 p.m. on Friday, March 23. Corey A. Pratt, 35, Lucia Coffey, 22, and Joseph M. Andrews-Richardson were arrested after the deputy ran the plates on the Jeep, which returned as stolen from the Denver area.
“One of the male occupants was taken into custody after he exited the vehicle and was walking away from the car,” the press release states. “The other two occupants of the vehicle attempted to leave the area in the stolen vehicle by driving around the rest area, against traffic.”
Another deputy arrived at the rest area and arrested the two suspects who were in the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, investigators said they found heroin, methamphetamine and marijuana, along with a replica Glock BB gun pistol.
