NOTICE OF INTENT TO APPLY FOR TAX DEED

On 16 September 2015, Montierth Holdings, LLC purchased a certificate of real property for 2014 delinquent taxes for the following property: STATE HWY 410 T15 R115  SEC 34 PT SW1/4 NE1/4 in Uinta County, WY.  The property was assessed and taxed in the name of SWEARENGIN, LEMMIE & WOODROW. The time for redemption shall expire when a valid tax deed application has been filed with the county treasurer and a tax deed is issued.  Unless redemption is made of said Real Estate, in the manner provided by law, the aforesaid purchaser will make application for deed on or after the 12th day of July 2021.  This property has no special assessments.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on or about the 5th day of March 2021, La Tia Mexican Eats, Inc., dba Don Pedro’s Family Mexican Restaurant filed an application for a transfer of ownership of a Retail Liquor License, (license currently owned by The Last Outpost, Inc.) in the Office of the Clerk of the City of Evanston, Wyoming, for the building located at 205 Bear River Drive, Evanston, Uinta County, Wyoming.

Second Regular Meeting

March 16th, 2021

The official record of proceedings of the second regular meeting of the Evanston City Council for the month of March was held in the Council Chambers of City Hall on the above date. These proceedings were video recorded.  The meeting was also streamed live.

Council member Mikal Welling led those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

The roll was called and with a quorum being present, Mayor Kent Williams called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and welcomed everyone present.

Those present from the governing body at the start of the meeting were: Mayor Williams; Council members Tim Lynch, Tib Ottley, Evan Perkes, Mike Sellers and Mikal Welling.  David Welling was excused. 

Staff members present at the start of the meeting were:   City Attorney, Dennis Boal; City Treasurer, Trudy Lym;  Public Works Director, Gordon Robinson; City Engineer, Dean Barker; City Clerk,  Diane Harris; Community  Development Director, Rocco O=Neill; Director of Parks and Recreation, Scott Ehlers; and Police Chief, Jon Kirby.  A group of interested citizens were also present.

Council member Ottley introduced Resolution 21-12.  Council member Ottley moved, Council member Lynch seconded, to adopt Resolution 21-12.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, WYOMING AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH PLAN ONE ARCHITECTS TO PROVIDE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE EVANSTON AVALON INTERNATIONAL PROJECT.

The motion passed unanimously with 6 yes votes:  Williams, Lynch, Ottley, Perkes, Sellers, M. Welling.

The Uinta County Commissioners met in regular session on March 16, 2021 in the commission chambers, 225 9th Street, Evanston, Wyoming and via an online Zoom Meeting. Chairman Eric South convened meeting at 2:00 p.m. Commissioner Mark Anderson and Commissioner Brent Hatch were present.  Also present: Amanda Hutchinson, County Clerk; Doug Matthews, Sheriff; Loretta Howieson, County Attorney; and Terry Brimhall, Treasurer.

Agenda

Motion Anderson, second Hatch to approve the agenda amended to include; Clay Baird with 2 items, Doug Matthews with auction results, and Aaron Hutchinson with a Search and Rescue grant request.  3 yes votes, passed.

Federal Land Access Resolution

Motion Anderson, second Hatch to authorize Chairman South to sign a letter to the US Department of Agriculture voicing concerns regarding the implementation of Executive Order 14008 and the effects it may have on the economic viability and the quality of life for the citizens of Uinta County as presented by Carl Larson.  3 yes votes, passed.

Youth Ag Program

Motion Hatch, second Anderson to approve usage of the sheep barn at the fairgrounds for the Youth Ag Program for $2,000 as requested by McKinna Brinton, Extension Educator.  3 yes votes, passed.

Bluemel/White Map Amendment

Kent Williams, Planner, opened a public hearing to allow for comments on the Bluemel/White Map Amendment.  Trent White spoke in favor; no one spoke in opposition.  Motion Hatch, second Anderson to approve Resolution 21-05 authorizing a map amendment to change zoning from Agricultural/Resource/Development to commercial for a parcel of land located in Section 29, T16N R114W.  3 yes votes, passed.

Rae Subdivision

Clay Baird informed the Commissioners of the plan to submit an application with the State of Wyoming for $300,000 to assist with the cost of mosquito control in Uinta County as presented by Baird.

Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees for Uinta County School District Number One, State of Wyoming, will be held 6:00 p.m. on the 30th day of March 2021, in the ESC Boardroom of the Educational Service Center, 537 Tenth Street, Evanston, Wyoming.

The purpose of the special meeting is to hold a public hearing from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to discuss and seek input on the school safety and security (concealed weapons) policy that the district is looking to implement. 

Issued pursuant to Section 21-3-120, Wyoming Statutes.

Issued by the Board of School Trustees of Uinta County School District Number One, State of Wyoming, this 24th day of March, 2021.
