Taylor MaGill and Jake MaGill are the proud parents of Evanston’s first baby of the new year, Paxton Allan, who was born on Monday, Jan. 3. Paxton weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces, and measured 20 inches. The parents and baby are doing well, and will receive several gifts for the honor. Jake is a banker at First Bank in Evanston, and the couple moved here from Laramie only a month ago. Paxton gave his dad a reason to play hooky — he was born on what was supposed to be Jake’s first day of work. (HERALD PHOTO/Kayne Pyatt)
