Notice is hereby given that the Uinta County Conservation District (UCCD) is accepting bids for the construction of three (3) spring development projects located in the northeastern corner of Uinta County, Wyoming.  Sealed bids will be accepted until 3:00 pm on Tuesday, February 18th, by the Uinta County Conservation District, 204 East Sage Street, P.O. The Uinta County Commissioners met in regular session on January 21, 2020 in the commission chambers, 225 9th Street, Evanston, Wyoming.  Chairman Eric South convened meeting at 2:00 p.m. Commissioner Craig Welling and Commissioner Mark Anderson were present.  Also present: Amanda Hutchinson, County Clerk; Doug Matthews, Sheriff; and Loretta Howieson, County Attorney.

Agenda

Motion Welling, second Anderson to approve the agenda amended to include Aaron Hutchinson with a grant application.  3 yes votes, passed.

Board Appointments

The following board appointments were made by unanimous vote for 3 year terms: Veterans Board – Penny Williams and Planning and Zoning – Ronald Tib Ottley.

Nursing Agreement

Motion Anderson, second Welling to approve Contract Nursing Agreements with Best Home Health and Hospice to make qualified nurses available on a repeat scheduled basis and Home Health Aides available upon request to assist inmates housed at the Uinta County Detention Center and individuals at the Uinta County Crisis Center as requested by Loretta Howieson, County Attorney.   3 yes votes, passed.

E911 Services

Motion Welling, second Anderson to approve a service agreement with CenturyLink, which allows emergency telephone use of the Enhanced 911 number by wireless and landline phones as presented by Dean Podzamsky, Communications Director.  3 yes votes, passed.

Adult Court Supervised Treatment Program

Motion Anderson, second Welling to approve the grant application for the Adult Court Supervised Treatment Program as requested by Deputy Aaron Hutchinson, Sheriff’s Office.  3 yes votes, passed.

CoreCivic Land Sale

Motion Welling, second Anderson to approve Resolution 20-02 authorizing the transfer of approximately 63 acres of property located within the confines of and owned by Uinta County, Wyoming, for the intended purpose of constructing an immigration detention/processing center.  Many citizens were present with some expressing opposition and others expressing support for the facility. 3 yes votes, passed.
