Notice is hereby given that the State Transportation Commission of Wyoming has accepted as completed according to plans, specifications and rules governing the same work performed under that certain contract between the State of Wyoming, acting through said Commission, and Highway Improvement, Inc., The Contractor, on Highway Project Number B223027 in Lincoln, Sublette, Sweetwater and Uinta Counties, consisting of crack seal and miscellaneous work, and the Contractor is entitled to final settlement therefore; that the Director of the Department of Transportation will cause said Contractor to be paid the full amount due him under said contract on January 26, 2023.

The date of the first publication of this Notice is December 16, 2022.

The Uinta County Commissioners met in regular session on December 6, 2022 in the commission chambers, 225 9th Street, Evanston. Acting Chairman Mark Anderson convened meeting at 2:00 p.m. Commissioner Brent Hatch was present; Chairman Eric South was excused.   Also present: Amanda Hutchinson, County Clerk and Loretta Kallas, County Attorney.

Court Appointed Attorney Rate

Motion Hatch, second Anderson to approve Resolution 22-45 setting the rate for attorneys appointed by the District Court Judge to represent indigent parties in Uinta County at $100 per hour as requested by Kerri Wright, Clerk of Court.  2 yes votes, passed.

Homeland Security Grant

Motion Hatch, second Anderson to authorize Chairman South to e-sign Amendment One to an AIP Grant for the Evanston-Uinta Airport increasing the maximum FAA obligation amount by $92,691 to $920,939 to cover the Federal share of the total actual eligible and allowable project costs for the Apron Project as presented by Gary Welling, Airport JPB.  2 yes votes, passed.

First Regular Meeting

December 6th, 2022

The official record of proceedings of the first regular meeting of the Evanston City Council for the month of December was held in the Council Chambers of City Hall on the above date.  These proceedings were video recorded.

Mayor Williams led those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

The roll was called and with a quorum being present, Mayor Kent Williams called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and welcomed everyone present.

Those present from the governing body at the start of the meeting were: Mayor Williams; Council members Tim Lynch, Evan Perkes, David Welling, Mike Sellers and Mikal Welling.  Tib Ottley was excused

Council Comments

Council member Sellers commented that he had received comments about how great the snow plowing had been.  He reminded everyone that the Suicide Number has changed to 988.  Council member Sellers also encouraged everyone to shop locally to help make a difference.

Consent Agenda

Council member Welling moved, Council member M. Welling seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda Items:

Parade Route Permit requested by the Evanston Police Officers Association for the Annual Shop with a Cop Parade on Saturday, December 17, 2022, beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the Hampton Inn and ending at Walmart.

Parade Route Permit requested by the St. Mary Magdalen Church for the Our Lady of Guadalupe Procession on Saturday, December 10, 2022, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Saint Mary Magdalen Church and ending at the Machine Shop.
