The Uinta County Commissioners met in regular session on November 5, 2019 in the commission chambers, 225 9th Street, Evanston, Wyoming.  Chairman Eric South convened meeting at 2:00 p.m. Commissioner Craig Welling and Commissioner Mark Anderson were present.  Also present: Amanda Hutchinson, County Clerk; Loretta Howieson, County Attorney and Doug Matthews, Sheriff.

Agenda

Motion Welling, second Anderson to approve the agenda amended to include Amanda Hutchinson with a contract certification, and Carl Larson with a meeting report.  3 yes votes, passed.

Good Neighbor Authority

Carl Larson reported on the Good Neighbor Authority meeting he attended at the request of the Commissioners.  The Good Neighbor Authority Agreement is a cooperating agreement with the Forest Service or the BLM to carry out authorized restoration services on eligible lands.

Veterans Board Appointments

Motion Anderson, second Welling to appoint Charles Anderson and Vikki Norwood to the Veterans Board to fill unexpired terms.  3 yes votes, passed.

Homeland Security Grant

Motion Welling, second Anderson to accept a grant agreement with Homeland Security for $24,097.71 from October 15, 2019 to June 30, 2021 to support the investment of Interoperable Emergency Communications to improve the ability of Uinta County Sheriff’s Office to protect citizens from a threatened or actual act of terrorism as requested by Doug Matthews, Sheriff.  3 yes votes, passed.

Bridger Valley Transfer Station

Motion Anderson, second Welling to approve Change Order No. 4 to the Bridger Valley Transfer Station contract with A-Pleasant Construction altering the original electrical plans resulting in a cost reduction of $7,438.44 as requested by Clay Baird, Public Works Director.  3 yes votes, passed.
