PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 2020 BUSINESS READY COMMUNITY GRANT AND LOAN PROGRAM APPLICATION FOR A BUSINESS COMMITTED PROJECT
The City of Evanston, WY intends to submit a grant and a loan application for a Business Ready Community (BRC) Business Committed Project. The project will include the construction of a 60,000 sq. ft. building and exterior grounds on 3.3 acres in the city-owned Union Center Business Park in which Avalon International Aluminum company will manufacture commercial metal door frames, sidelights and other components. The City is seeking citizen input regarding this project. The grant sought will be in the amount of $3 million and the loan amount will be $1.109 million. Those wishing to comment on this project are encouraged to attend a public hearing on this subject on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at 5:30 p.m., at City Hall at 1200 Main Street. All written comments must be received no later than August 17, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. The City of Evanston, WY will take all comments made at the public hearing and written comments submitted on or before the deadline into consideration before considering a resolution in support of submitting an application for a 2020 BRC Business Committed Award.
The intent of Wyoming Business Council’s Business Ready Community program is to ready a community for new business development through economic or educational development projects which may include, but not limited to, water, sewer, streets and roads, telecommunications, airports, purchase of rights-of-way, purchase of land, buildings, facilities, industrial and business parks, industrial site or business district development, amenities within a business or industrial park, landscaping, recreational and convention facilities, and or other physical projects.

EVANSTON CITY COUNCIL
First Regular Meeting
August 4th, 2020
The official record of proceedings of the first regular meeting of the Evanston City Council for the month of August was held in the Council Chambers of City Hall on the above date. These proceedings were video recorded.
Mayor Williams led those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
The roll was called and with a quorum being present, Mayor Kent Williams called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and welcomed everyone present.
Those present from the governing body at the start of the meeting were: Mayor Williams; Council members Tim Lynch, Tib Ottley, Evan Perkes, David Welling, Mike Sellers, and Mikal Welling.

Staff members present at the start of the meeting were: City Attorney, Dennis Boal; City Clerk, Diane Harris; City Treasurer, Trudy Lym; Director of Engineering & Planning, Dean Barker; Public Works Director, Gordon Robinson; Community Development Director, Rocco O’Neill: Police Chief, Jon Kirby. Director of Parks and Recreation, Scott Ehlers was excused. A group of interested citizens were also present.

Council Comments
Council member Lynch reminded everyone to stay safe.
Council member Sellers congratulated the Evanston Outlaws for winning the AA West Title. He recognized the numerous projects going on around town. He commented on how much better the roads will be after they are done.
Presentation
A Certificate of Recognition was presented to Evanston Urban Renewal Agency from the National Main Street Center and Wyoming Main Street as a 2020 Main Street America Accredited Program.
A Certificate of Appreciation was presented to the Mayor and City Council for their support of Evanston Urban Renewal Agency/Main Street by the Urban Renewal Agency.
